Rewrite History With Our American Mad Lib
Not long ago, a survey found that fewer than half of America’s high school students could give the correct dates of the Civil War or identify the speaker who made the famous “I have a dream” speech, even on a multiple-choice exam.
Almost a quarter of the 17-year-olds – responding to the survey by the non-partisan Common Core groups – could not correctly identify Adolf Hitler.
Clearly, something must be done, especially on the Fourth of July. We decided to try a game of Exquisite Corpse or, as it’s most often known, Mad Libs.
Adults, are you smarter than a 17-year-old? Then test yourself and play along. Trust us: It’ll be an education.
